Job summary

FMA Services is seeking experienced E&I Construction Supervisors to join their team on various industrial projects within the pharmaceutical and chemical sectors. This position requires supervision of construction activities while ensuring high standards of safety and quality.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in Electromechanics or a related field, a minimum of 5 years of experience, and strong knowledge of electrical installations, ATEX guidelines, and project management.

Job description

Location: Belgium (various project sites) Sectors: Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, Petrochemicals Type: Full-time / Freelance / Project-based

FMA Services is looking for 6 experienced E&I Construction Supervisors to strengthen our team on leading industrial projects across the pharmaceutical, chemical, and petrochemical sectors.

Your role

• Daily coordination and supervision of E&I construction activities
• Leading execution teams and subcontractors
• Safeguarding safety, quality, planning, and progress
• Coordinating work in line with project planning and technical specifications
• Organizing toolbox meetings and site meetings
• Managing work permits and ensuring compliance with safety procedures
• Working closely with Project Management, Engineering, QA/QC, and Commissioning
• Identifying and resolving technical or organizational bottlenecks
• Reporting progress to the Construction Manager or Project Manager
• Ensuring correct execution of works within ATEX zones and in line with applicable safety regulations

Who are you?

• Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanics, Electricity, Automation, or equivalent through experience
• At least 5 years of relevant experience as an E&I Construction Supervisor within industrial projects
• Experience within the pharmaceutical industry or the chemical/petrochemical sector
• Solid knowledge of:
  • Electrical installations
  • Instrumentation
  • Cabling works
  • MCCs
  • Field instrumentation
  • Junction boxes
  • Loop checks
  • Pre-commissioning & commissioning
  • ATEX guidelines and explosion-safe installations
• Knowledge of AREI and industrial safety standards
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Safety-conscious, quality-driven, and results-oriented
• Good command of Dutch and/or English

Additional assets

• Experience within GMP environments
• Demonstrable knowledge of ATEX (IEC 60079)
• Experience with greenfield and brownfield projects
• Experience during turnarounds and shutdowns
• BA4/BA5
• VCA VOL
• Experience with DCS, PLC, and process installations
