Job summary

Goodwill Industries of South Mississippi is seeking an E-commerce Associate in Gulfport, MS. The role supports daily ecommerce operations, including listing donated items, processing sales, and shipping packages.

You will help evaluate books and media for value, enter descriptions and prices into the system, and ensure accurate posting of ShopGoodwill items. A valid MS driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent, or six months to one year of related retail experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• This individual must possess a high degree of attention to processes and detail.
• Basic to intermediate computer experience, including working knowledge of ecommerce businesses, as well software programs such as Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel, required.
• Previous experience writing online auctions and/or an understanding of collectibles such as antiques, brand names, and other items of value, preferred.
• Must have a valid Mississippi driver’s license.
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assists with day-to-day tasks of the ecommerce business, including identifying, marketing, and processing online sales of donated merchandise.
• Picks, packs, weighs and prepares items for shipment.
• Receives, stores, and evaluates books/media for value; enters descriptions and prices into the system.
• Posts ShopGoodwill items when needed; maintains inventory and security.
• Adapts to flexible hours; moves merchandise between back room and posting floor; maintains a clean, hazard-free workspace.
• Provides excellent customer service and supports business needs across ecommerce.
