Job Title: E-Commerce & Marketplace Operations Manager
Location: Indianapolis, IN (On-site)
Job Type: Full-Time, Salaried (Exempt)
About Us
Crazy Skates is a premier global skating brand with thriving operations in both the USA and Australia. As a smaller, tight-knit company, we are driven by passion, authenticity, and a commitment to quality. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional products to our customers, and we need an in-house expert to ensure our digital storefronts perform with that exact same level of excellence.
The Role: Systems Over Aesthetics
We are bringing our digital marketplace and website operations fully in-house. We already have a talented internal team of designers and photographers; we are not looking for a creative director, a brand visionary, or someone who relies on marketing buzzwords.
We are seeking a highly analytical, data-driven E-Commerce & Marketplace Operations Manager who views online selling as a clinical science. You will be the daily driver of our storefronts across the USA and Australia, while simultaneously spearheading our expansion into new international markets. This role requires a methodical operator who actively monitors, troubleshoots, and optimizes listings across Shopify, our private B2B portal, Google Marketplace, our CRM ecosystems, and a multitude of major global marketplaces (including Walmart, Target, eBay, The Iconic, Bunnings, and Big W) to ensure they are spotless, efficient, and highly competitive.
You must possess a fiercely competitive spirit—taking it personally when opposition brands try to hijack our listings—and know the exact technical levers to pull to protect our market share, launch new products flawlessly, and maximize customer lifetime value across a highly diversified digital portfolio.
Core Responsibilities
What We’re Looking For
The Interview Process (No BS, No AI)
We protect our company culture fiercely. Because AI tools make it easy for anyone to sound like an e-commerce expert on paper, our interview process is designed to find the true data-driven practitioners.
If selected for an in-person interview, be prepared for a live, unplugged skills assessment. You will be handed printouts of real, raw data from our actual Shopify analytics, B2B platforms, international marketplace requirements, and active ad campaigns. Without the use of a laptop, phone, or AI, you will be asked to identify statistical errors, calculate core metrics, and explain step-by-step how you would architect a new channel integration, fix a broken campaign, or defend a hijacked listing.
If you know the actual mechanics of omnichannel e-commerce, this will be easy and fun. If you rely on AI to do the thinking for you, this is not the job for you.
