Job summary

Benesch is seeking an e-Billing Specialist to join our Chicago office on a hybrid schedule. You will manage the flow of computerized billing from inception to final product, including prebills and reports for timekeepers, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma, at least 3 years of client billing experience, 60 WPM typing, and proficiency in Excel and Word, with familiarity in E-invoicing systems. Aderant/BillBlast knowledge is a plus.

Position Summary

The e-Billing Specialist processes the flow of computerized billing from inception to final product to include narrative edits and transfers, unbilled write-offs, and distribution of month-end prebills and reports for specific timekeepers in an accurate and timely manner.

Essential Functions

• Understanding of start to finish billing process and procedures
• Understanding of multiple e-billing sites and requirements
• Monitor BillBlast/e-billing systems for submissions and rejections.
• Work with billing and collections team to solve e-billing issues.
• Communicates properly and promptly with BFCA personnel and external contacts at all times and must exhibit a high level of customer service at all times.
• Process / follow up appeals as needed.
• Review invoices for OCG requirements.
• Ability to enter rates/accruals into different systems.
• Ability to problem solve and critically think.
• Ability to work alone and also in a team setting.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The e-Billing Specialist must have a High School Diploma and a minimum of 3 years of relevant client billing experience. A typing speed of 60 WPM and 10-key machine by touch are required. Must be proficient in Excel and Word as well as have an understanding of E-invoicing systems. Aderant/BillBlast experience is preferred. Must possess an excellent customer service attitude. Flexibility to work overtime as necessary.

The salary range for this position is $67K to $87K.

Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that Benesch provides to compensate and recognize our staff professionals for their work. Full-time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
