Job summary

BCycle is seeking a Field Technician to swap batteries, balance systems by moving e-bikes, and interact with customers on the street. You will operate and maintain service vehicles, perform in-field inspections, and keep stations clean.

This role requires resilience, a positive attitude, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends in outdoor conditions. A high school diploma or GED and a clean driving record are needed, with bike-share experience a plus.

Qualifications

Clean driving record is required.
Positive attitude and self-motivation.
Small team skills and willingness to have fun while completing goals.
Impressive attention to detail.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
Ability to work outdoors in various temperatures.
Ability to lift up to 65 pounds and operate gas vehicles.
Bike Share experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Swap electric bike batteries.
Balance the system by moving e-bikes around.
Provide customer service and interact with customers on the street.
Operate and maintain service vehicles.
Perform in-field bike inspections, basic repairs, overhauls, and cleaning.
Maintain stations through troubleshooting, parts and battery replacement, and cleaning.
Install and remove stations.
Prepare e-bikes for events, set up, table, and tear down.
Adapt to changing roles.
Serve as the public face of BCycle in the field.
