Job summary

Harmony Science Academy - City Place, Houston, TX, seeks a Dyslexia Specialist to provide instructional support and direct services for students with dyslexia, including 504 and SPED coordination. Responsibilities include developing curricula, preparing lessons, and supporting teachers in evidence-based reading practices.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree and Texas Reading Specialist certification (preferred) with experience in ELA/reading or SPED.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides instructional services to students identified for dyslexia services.
• Implements the district dyslexia intervention program with fidelity.
• Coordinates services with SPED/504 staff and administrators.
• Keeps accurate records and prepares required reports on students and activities.
• Attends district and campus meetings related to reading programs and dyslexia instruction.
• Collaborates with parents and teachers to develop and implement interventions.
