Job summary

Trans Production is seeking a Dyno Technician in Wyoming, MI to operate dynamometers and test transmissions to ensure quality before delivery. You will track units, document failures, and maintain testing records in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires basic mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently, with standard shift hours and potential overtime based on business needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1–2 years of transmission experience preferred.
• Ability to work mostly independently.
• Familiarity with Dyno manuals or willingness to learn.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up the dynamometer for the unit being tested.
• Safely and correctly install the transmission on the dynamometer.
• Monitor diagnostic software and analog pressure gauges to ensure required specifications are met.
• Maintain records of units tested.
• Document units that failed and specify the type of failure.
• Update records and unit status at the workstation.
• Maintain overall cleanliness of the work area and ensure proper upkeep of the dynamometer.
• Cross-train on alternate assignments and perform duties in other work areas as needed.
