Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Dyno Test Technician to support chassis dynamometer testing and data collection for prototype and production vehicles. You will prepare, operate, and troubleshoot dynamometer systems, while ensuring safety and accurate test execution in a demanding R&D environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of dyno experience, strong electrical skills, and the ability to work independently or with engineers and technicians across shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma and strong safety mindset.
• 5+ years operating vehicle dynamometers and test cells.
• Experience with automotive maintenance and instrumentation.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Operate chassis dynamometer testing of prototype and production vehicles.
• Prepare dynamometer systems including warm-up and setup.
• Load, restrain, and unload vehicles from the dyno safely and efficiently.
• Execute test cycles and drive traces using AVL systems.
• Troubleshoot test cell, vehicle, instrumentation, and dyno issues.
• Perform basic dyno maintenance and calibrations.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics for tests.
• Support HV testing with proper PPE and safety procedures.
