ETE REMAN in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Lead in the dyno repair department who will train and mentor teammates, maximize productivity, and uphold safety and quality. You will partner with other leaders to ensure work is completed efficiently and to our high standards.

  • Lead 10–13 team members when supervisor unavailable and train staff.
  • Encourage reporting of safety concerns and monitor safety compliance.
  • Coordinate with other leaders to ensure timely repair work.
  • Identify training needs and develop employees' diagnostic skills.
  • Provide advanced technical guidance for complex issues and troubleshooting.
  • Serve as escalation point for difficult problems and guide timely solutions.
  • Collaborate with Quality Leadership to identify root causes and implement fixes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Ensure timely starting and ending of shifts and adherence to schedules.

Job Overview: As a Lead in the dyno repair department, you are a pivotal role model responsible for training and mentoring other employees, maximizing productivity, and ensuring a positive, safe, and engaging workplace environment. Your day is spent first and foremost supporting team members through training, answering questions, and solving problems. You partner with other leaders to ensure work is being completed safely and with the quality ETE Reman customers expect. Responsibilities:
  • Lead up to 10-13 team members when Repair and Warranty Inspection Supervisor is not available by answering questions, and training new, existing employees within 1 or more similar areas
  • Encourage team members to report safety concerns promptly, actively monitor safety, address safety non-compliance promptly, involve Supervisor as necessary
  • Ensuring repair work is available and working with other leaders to resolve any delays in work being brought to the department.
  • Identify training needs and help develop employees' skills in diagnosing and resolving issues.
  • Provide advanced technical guidance and support to the repair team, assisting with the diagnosis and troubleshooting of complex product issues.
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for complex issues, guiding the team toward effective and timely solutions.
  • Partner with Quality Leadership to analyze recurring problems and collaborate with the team to identify root causes and implement permanent solutions.
  • Reaffirm any expectations set by the supervisor on which tasks should be completed
  • Engage in learning manufacturing processes, procedures and continuous improvement methods (i.e. LEAN)
  • Think carefully and use common sense when dealing with problems and making decisions
  • Actively participate in meetings and communications to the team and ETE leaders
  • Champion company policies and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Ensure employees are at workstations and begin and end work on time
  • Provide feedback to Supervisor regarding the employees they are training
  • Be visible and available to employees on the plant floor

Essential Functions:
  • Must be 18 years old, high school diploma, have regular reliable and predictable attendance. Able to work overtime as needed.
  • Past people management experience is a plus; but not required
  • Effective oral communication skills as well as able to adapt communication to different styles. Bilingual experience is an asset
  • Ability to work with your hands. tools (you must provide your own) and instruments. You will be working the line at times, get dirty, and may have to work with chemicals
  • Basic computer skills including how to use a keyboard and mouse, navigate the desktop or operating systems, and manage files and folders
  • Utilize an ERP system in work area as required
  • Able to lift 50 pounds, stand and work for 8+ hours a day
  • Prioritize tasks and understand details to maximize productivity and achieve objectives
  • Self starter, able to work under pressure
  • Willingness to participate and apply specific trainings to enhance your people leadership skills
