Job summary

Young Automotive Group is seeking an Engine Tuner / Dyno Operator to tune engines and optimize performance using dynamometer equipment. This full-time role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and safe, precise adjustments for reliability.

You will collaborate with the engine builder and service team on performance builds, analyze logs, and maintain dyno gear while upholding safety standards. Benefits include health insurance, 401k, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Experience with engine tuning and/or dyno operation preferred.
• Knowledge of EFI systems, fuel mapping, and forced induction systems.
• Familiarity with tuning platforms (Power Vision, ECU flashing, standalone systems, etc.).
• Strong understanding of engine performance principles.
• Ability to read data logs and make informed adjustments.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on consistency and safety.
• Able to pass a background-check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Operate chassis dynamometer safely and efficiently.
• Tune engines using aftermarket tuning software (fuel, ignition, boost, etc.).
• Analyze data logs and make precise adjustments for optimal performance.
• Work closely with the engine builder and service team on performance builds.
• Diagnose drivability and performance issues.
• Maintain dyno equipment and ensure safe operating procedures.
• Document tuning results and provide clear feedback to the team and customers.
