Job summary

Job description

Position Summary

Perform tests and/or measurement tasks for the Dynamics department. Dynamics is the branch of mechanics that deals with the motion of systems under the action of forces usually from outside the system.

Salary

Annual base salary target range is $25 – $28/hr, with potential eligibility for bonuses or commission depending on the role.

Core Responsibilities
  • Test Setup – Read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identify and prepare test equipment.
  • Perform Testing – Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data.
  • Data Processing – After test completion, verify, review, and document all pertinent data. Finalize data and send to the Program Manager.
  • Lab Maintenance / Post‑Test Breakdown – Physically remove test items, maintain the lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current, and organizing supplies.
  • Other – Perform other duties as assigned.
Core Requirements
  • Under general supervision; completes intermediate technical and mechanical procedures, regularly interacts with clients, troubleshoots and reworks standard tests, and performs intermediate interpretation and analysis of test results.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and dynamics principles; working knowledge of basic safety practices; basic understanding of AC/DC circuits.
  • Able to use all standard dynamics equipment and capture necessary data accurately; basic MS Office skills.
Minimum Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED; AA or AS degree preferred.
  • 2‑6 years of experience.
Working Conditions

Test lab with exposure to sudden, loud noises.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
