Job summary

Element U.S. Space & Defense in Santa Clarita, CA is seeking a full-time technician to perform tests and data processing in the Dynamics lab. You will read specs, set up equipment, monitor tests, and document results for program managers.

The role requires knowledge of electrical, mechanical and dynamics principles, plus basic MS Office skills. Benefits include health, retirement, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED; AA or AS degree preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical, mechanical & dynamics principles.
• Basic MS Office skills and ability to capture data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Test Setup - Read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identify/prepare test equipment
• Perform Testing - Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data
• Data Processing - After test completion, verify, review and document all pertinent data. Finalize data and send to the Program Manager
• Lab Maintenance / Post-Test Breakdown - Physically remove test items. Maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current, & organizing supplies
• Other - Perform other duties as assigned
