Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (D365 F&SCM) Senior Developer to join our Microsoft Dynamics practice. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in X++ development, D365 Finance & Supply Chain Management customization, integrations, extensions, and technical solution development.

The Senior Developer will work closely with Functional Consultants, Solution Architects, Project Managers, and business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management.
• Develop high-quality X++ code using Microsoft-recommended development and extensibility practices.
• Develop and customize:
  • Tables and table extensions
  • Forms and form extensions
  • Classes and class extensions
  • Queries and views
  • Enums and Extended Data Types
  • Batch jobs
  • Workflows
  • Business events
  • Security roles and privileges
• Implement customizations using extensions, Chain of Command (CoC), event handlers, and delegates, avoiding unsupported overlayering. (Microsoft Learn)
• Develop integrations between D365 F&SCM and external applications using:
  • OData
  • REST APIs
  • Business events
  • Dual-write / Dataverse where applicable
• Develop and maintain SSRS reports, Electronic Reporting (ER), and document/report extensions.
• Work with Data Management Framework (DMF) for data migration, import/export, and integration scenarios.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration, performance, and production issues.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to Microsoft development standards and best practices.
• Analyze technical requirements and provide effort estimates and implementation approaches.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business processes and convert requirements into technical specifications.
• Participate in technical design, development, unit testing, deployment, and post-production support.
• Support application lifecycle management using Azure DevOps, including source control, work items, builds, releases, and deployment pipelines.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot database, X++, batch processing, and integration issues.
• Participate in D365 F&SCM upgrades, platform updates, regression testing, and remediation activities.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to development standards, reusable components, and technical documentation.

Required Technical Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 Finance & Supply Chain Management development.
• Strong hands-on experience with X++ and D365 F&SCM development.
• Strong understanding of D365 F&SCM technical architecture and application framework.
• Experience with Visual Studio and D365 F&SCM development tools. (Microsoft Learn)
