Job summary

Stable10 is seeking an experienced Senior Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Developer to support and enhance its live ERP environment. This hands-on role focuses on X++ development, application support, troubleshooting and system enhancements.

The consultant will own technical development while helping strengthen the capabilities of the existing internal development team, collaborating with partners and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain X++ customisations, extensions and integrations within D365 F&O.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
• Develop and maintain classes, tables, forms and data entities; manage batch processes and reports.
• Manage development activities through Azure DevOps, including code reviews and CI/CD processes.
• Support deployments, testing and release management using Lifecycle Services (LCS).
• Review existing customisations and improve application performance and reliability.
• Mentor internal developers and establish development best practices.
• Collaborate with functional teams, business stakeholders and external partners.

We are working with an established organisation seeking an experienced Senior Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Developer to support and enhance its live ERP environment.

This is a hands-on technical role focused on X++ development, application support, troubleshooting and system enhancements.

The successful consultant will take ownership of technical development while helping strengthen the capabilities of an existing internal development team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain X++ customisations, extensions and integrations within D365 F&O.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
• Develop and maintain classes, tables, forms, data entities, batch processes and reports.
• Manage development activities through Azure DevOps, including source control, code reviews and CI/CD processes.
• Support deployments, testing and release management using Lifecycle Services (LCS).
• Review existing customisations and improve application performance and reliability.
• Mentor internal developers, provide technical guidance and establish development best practices.
• Collaborate with functional teams, business stakeholders and external implementation partners.

Required Experience

• Strong knowledge of F&O architecture, Chain of Command, event handlers and extension development.
• Experience supporting live production environments and resolving complex technical issues.
• Proficiency in Visual Studio, debugging, SQL and performance troubleshooting.
• Strong experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, source control and release management.
• Practical experience with LCS deployments and environment management.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience within distribution, warehousing, supply chain or manufacturing environments.
• F&O integrations using APIs, OData, data entities or Azure services.
• SSRS reporting, automated testing and performance optimisation.
• Experience mentoring developers or leading technical knowledge transfer.
• Familiarity with third-party ISV solutions and implementation partner code.
• Engagement: 6-month contract, with potential conversion to permanent employment.
