Dynamics Door in Chicago seeks an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Consultant specializing in Cost Accounting and Project Management and Accounting (PM&A). You will configure and support D365 F&O, partnering with finance teams to translate business needs into scalable solutions.

You will lead efforts in project costing, budgeting, cost allocations, and revenue recognition, ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O).
• Hands-on experience configuring and supporting PM&A (Project Management and Accounting).
• Strong understanding of Cost Accounting, including cost allocations, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
• Experience with project-based accounting, including project costing, budgeting, billing, and revenue recognition.

• Work directly with finance and accounting teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into D365 solutions.
• Support project costing, budgeting, cost allocations, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and maximize the use of D365 F&O.
• Troubleshoot functional issues, recommend enhancements, and provide ongoing support to end users.
• Collaborate with technical teams on system enhancements, integrations, and configurations.
• Assist with testing, documentation, and user training.

Requirements

• Strong functional experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O).
• Hands-on experience configuring and supporting Project Management and Accounting (PM&A).
• Strong understanding of Cost Accounting, including cost allocations, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
• Experience with project-based accounting, including project costing, budgeting, billing, and revenue recognition.
• Understanding of core D365 Finance modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
• Experience supporting D365 implementations, enhancements, or post-go-live environments.
• Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and translate requirements into functional solutions.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with project-based organizations or complex financial environments.
• Exposure to procurement, inventory, or supply chain processes as they relate to project accounting.
