Job summary

BlueAngle LLC is seeking a seasoned D365 F&O Functional Consultant to bridge business needs and technology. You will analyze, design, and implement D365 F&O modules across finance and related areas to improve processes and efficiency.

You will work with CFOs, controllers, and finance teams, translating requirements into functional designs, guiding configuration, testing, and deployment, and enabling adoption across a dynamic enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years ERP experience with at least two full-lifecycle D365 F&O Finance implementations.
• Strong understanding of finance, supply chain, or manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication between technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Experience in fit-gap analysis and FDD creation.

Responsibilities

About the Role:

The D365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Functional Consultant is a client facing role that plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business requirements and technology solutions within enterprise environments. Your primary objective will be to analyze, design, and implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O modules that optimize business processes and enhance operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and other departments to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications. Additionally, you will provide expert guidance during system configuration, testing, and deployment phases to ensure seamless integration and user adoption. Ultimately, your contributions will drive digital transformation initiatives that support organizational growth and agility.

What You Will Do

• Lead requirements gathering workshops with CFOs, controllers, and finance teams to elicit and validate requirements.
• Lead functional design across finance modules (GL, AP, AR, Cash & Bank, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, Consolidation).
• Author Functional Design Documents (FDDs) for all identified gaps and configuration needs.
• Plan and coordinate data mapping for financial master data migration (functional side).
• Translate business requirements into configured solutions and functional design documents.
• Configure D365 Finance modules: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash and Bank Management.
• Collaborate with Technical Consultants to hand off FDDs and ensure technical alignment before development begins.
• Lead UAT planning and execution with client finance teams; write test scripts, coordinate business users, track and triage defects.
• Deliver end-user training and post-go-live adoption support.

What You Bring

• 8 -12 years ERP experience with at least two full-lifecycle D365 F&O Finance implementations (AX 2012 Finance heritage acceptable for part of the tenure).
• Strong understanding of business processes in finance, supply chain, or manufacturing domains.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise between technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Proven experience conducting fit-gap analysis and authoring FDDs.
• Strong finance domain expertise - candidate should be able to hold a substantive conversation on month-end close, consolidations, intercompany, and controls.
• Deep configuration knowledge in Finance modules: GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management.
• Direct experience leading workshops with CFOs, VPs of Finance, or controllers.
• Experience at companies with $300M+ revenue.
• Familiarity with common finance integrations (bank, tax, AP automation, expense management).
• Experience facilitating requirements workshops with business stakeholders.
• Experience in process mapping and functional design documentation.
• Strong understanding of financial workflows and business process modeling.
• Experience coordinating data mapping and migration planning on the functional side.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Experience:

• Qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or finance degree.
• Industry vertical depth relevant to current pipeline.
• Exposure to SOX 404 controls and auditor walk-throughs in an ERP context.
