Job summary

Think Entertainment Jobs seeks a News Anchor Reporter to deliver engaging news across TV, web and mobile platforms. You will produce, write, and present stories with strong storytelling, using live shots and graphics while leveraging social media to enhance reach.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Communication/Journalism and at least three years of anchor or reporting experience, with excellent communication and newsroom skills. This is a fulltime on-site position in Lansing, MI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communication/Journalism or related field.
• 3 years television anchoring or reporting experience.
• Strong vocal delivery, camera presence and enunciation.
• Solid reporting skills.
• Understand importance of social media.
• Excellent reading, writing, spelling, grammar and organizational skills.
• Promotes teamwork and maintains cooperation with station personnel.
• Operate newsroom computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Present news stories across TV, internet and mobile platforms.
• Enterprise and develop stories daily with management.
• Demonstrate storytelling using live shots, stand-ups, graphics and social media.
• Write stories according to editorial style and format standards.
• Gather and verify information via interviews, observation and research.
• Build a network of sources to stay ahead of competitors.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
