Job summary

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. is seeking a Weekend Morning Anchor/Reporter to present weekend news clearly and engagingly across platforms. On non-weekend days, you will gather and present facts through interviews, investigations or observations.

You will ensure content meets journalistic standards and contribute to digital stories for web and social media. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field, at least two years in news reporting, and a strong on-air

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field, or equivalent education/experience.
Fluency in English with excellent written and spoken communication.
Minimum two years’ experience in news reporting and on-air presence.
Proficiency with digital platforms and basic newsroom tools.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Reports news stories for broadcast across platforms, describing background and details.
Arranges interviews with information sources and conducts follow-ups.
Reviews copy for errors in content, grammar and punctuation.
Researches background information to provide accurate reporting.
Pitches relevant stories to editors and producers.
Shoots and edits events and reports for multiple platforms.
Writes stories for the web and engages with viewers on social media.
