We seek a versatile journalist with a strong on-air presence who can connect with our morning viewers and help lead our multi-platform coverage.

The ideal candidate will be a newsroom leader with sharp editorial instincts, collaborate well with co-anchors and producers, and excel at reporting for TV and the web.

Qualifications

• At least two years of professional television news anchoring and reporting experience.
• Strong news judgment and excellent writing skills for on-air and digital platforms.
• Excellent on-air presence and ad-libbing skills during live breaking news.
• Ability to work a demanding early-morning schedule and possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Anchor morning newscasts with high energy and credibility.
• Collaborate with producers and co-anchors to shape daily content and scripts.
• Research, write, and produce compelling local news stories.
• Deliver live reports from the field and studio during breaking news and severe weather events.
• Publish timely content to the station’s website, mobile app, and social media channels.
