Job summary

Sysco is hiring a Warehouse Selector to join our local foodservice supply chain in New York. You will pick orders for delivery to restaurants, using an electric pallet jack or forklift to assemble customer orders in a fast-paced setting.

This is a physical role with long shifts (10–12 hours), frequent lifting up to 100 lbs, and exposure to coolers and freezers. No college degree is required, and overtime opportunities are available as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 0 - 1 year relevant work experience.
• Frequently lift 10 lb - 75 lb and up to 100 lb.
• Frequent reach up to 72 inches.
• Bend and twist while operating electric pallet jack or forklift.
• Work in extreme temperatures (cooler/freezer).
• Stand 10-12 hours daily.
• Preferred: 1 year experience operating an electric pallet jack or forklift.
• Preferred: 1 year warehouse, military, or physically active job experience.
• Preferred: 1 year Selection Experience.
• Preferred: 2 years consistent work history.

Responsibilities

• Operate electric pallet jack and/or forklift to select and build customer orders.
• Organize and palletize products to fulfill orders.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
• Work in temperature-controlled environments (cooler, freezer) and on the warehouse floor.
