Job summary

Sysco New Orleans is hiring Warehouse Order Selectors to join our foodservice distribution team. This active, physical role involves operating an electric pallet jack or forklift, selecting orders for delivery, and palletizing products to fulfill customer orders.

Daily work includes exposure to temperature variations and long shifts. No college degree or prior warehouse experience is required; overtime opportunities and a comprehensive rewards package are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 0 - 1 year relevant work experience.
• Frequently lift product weighing 10 lb to 75 lb and up to 100 lb.
• Frequently reach up to 72 inches.
• Constantly bend and twist while operating an electric pallet jack or forklift.
• Work in very extreme temperatures (cooler and/or freezer).
• Stand/walk 10–12 hours daily.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders for delivery to foodservice venues in the local community.
• Operate an electric pallet jack and/or forklift as part of daily duties.
• Organize and palletize product to build customer orders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain a safe working environment in varying temperature conditions.
