Job summary

West Marine is seeking an Equipment Operator for our United States distribution center. You will move merchandise and load/unload trailers, operating Crown equipment to fulfill customer orders with a strong emphasis on safety.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, working in a fast-paced environment, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. RF scanners and stock control are integral to daily tasks and safe operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating pallet riders/stock pickers and forklifts.
• RF scanners and Voice to Pick concepts familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Move product, pull merchandise, fill orders, and control flow using moving equipment safely.
• Stock products to designated areas accurately and promptly.
• Operate moving equipment in a safe and correct manner.
• Use RF handheld scanners to pick and process orders safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with safety standards.
• Follow all legal requirements and company policies.
• Be available for a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
