Job summary

GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA is seeking a warehouse associate in New Orleans to load/unload trucks, move goods within the warehouse, and bale salvage textiles with baling equipment. The role requires handling heavy items, standing for long periods, and following safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include sorting donations by material type, operating pallet jacks and other equipment, and assisting with cleaning and general warehouse maintenance.

Qualifications

• Prior warehouse, retail, logistics, or material handling experience preferred.
• Forklift experience or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload donated and purchased goods from trucks.
• Move containers of goods around the warehouse.
• Bale salvage textiles using vertical or horizontal baling machines.
• Assist in unloading bales from baling machines.
• Sort donated goods by material type.
• Sort and process textiles and other goods for store sale.
• Use pallet jacks, rolling bins, and dollies.
• Operate forklift only if certified to move materials and load trucks.
• Assist with cleaning warehouse areas and adhere to safety rules.
• Follow employer policies and safety regulations.
