Job summary

Southern States Cooperative, Inc. in Mount Airy, NC is seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate to perform a variety of operations to ensure sales readiness and customer support.

Responsibilities include receiving merchandise, stocking shelves, loading, and maintaining inventory while operating forklift equipment. Qualified applicants will have at least two years of warehouse experience and forklift certification; CDL and propane certifications may be required depending on location.

Qualifications

• Requires two (2) years of work experience in a warehouse environment or performing merchandise receiving and stocking in a retail sales setting.
• Requires Forklift Certification (or ability to obtain within given period)
• Licensing: May require Commercial Driver's License (CDL) depending on location and regulations; Propane Certification may be required

Responsibilities

• Receive merchandise deliveries and verify accuracy.
• Unload and move merchandise using forklift and other equipment.
• Stock shelves and replenish showroom; maintain showroom appearance.
• Assist with loading customer orders and delivering merchandise to locations.
• Perform general facility maintenance and safety checks.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and conduct physical inventories.
