Job summary

Southern States Cooperative in Mount Airy, NC is seeking a full-time warehouse associate to support receiving, stocking, and customer order fulfillment. You will operate forklifts and other equipment, stock shelves, and assist with loading vehicles and showroom maintenance.

Responsibilities include inventory control, safety compliance, and providing help to customers and store leadership. A forklift certification or ability to obtain it is required.

Qualifications

• Requires two (2) years of work experience in a warehouse environment or performing merchandise receiving and stocking in a retail sales setting.
• Requires Forklift Certification (or ability to obtain within a given period).
• Licenses: Licensing requirements vary by location and are based on state/federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Receive merchandise deliveries at facility warehouse and verify against purchase orders and shipping documents.
• Stock showroom and warehouse shelves; perform replenishment and display setup.
• Deliver bulk and packaged merchandise to customer locations using SSC vehicles.
• Operate propane-related equipment and comply with safety protocols.
• Assist with inventory and maintain safety, loss prevention, and housekeeping.
