Job summary

Standing Bear High School, part of Lincoln Public Schools, is seeking an Assistant Unified Track & Field Coach to support athletes in the Unified program. The role involves assisting head coaches, organizing practices and contests, and fostering positive relationships with students and families.

Candidates must hold Nebraska certificates or coaching permits, CPR and NFHS certifications, and be prepared to lead teams in NSAA events.

Qualifications

• Requires Nebraska Department of Education Teacher or Administrative Certificate or a Special Services Coaching Permit.
• CPR certification (LPS provided) and NFHS certification in Concussion, Heat Illness, and Sudden Cardiac Awareness.
• Knowledge and understanding of NSAA and LPS policies and bylaws.
• Candidate should develop positive relationships with student-participants, families, and the LPS community.

Responsibilities

• Assist head coaches in organizing practices, regular season and district contests.
• Provide oversight of the program and lead teams in state championship preparation if applicable.
• Maintain required certifications and position requirements.
