Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an Estimator for Commercial Underground Wet Site Utilities in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. You will lead preconstruction estimating for storm, water, and sewer projects, using PlanSwift, HCSS Heavy Bid and related tools to build competitive bids.

The role requires at least 5 years of experience in commercial wet utility estimating, strong blueprint analysis, and collaboration with contractors, clients, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial wet utility estimating, US-focused (North Texas preferred).
• Proven ability to independently manage the full bidding process for commercial wet utility projects.
• Ability to read and analyze complex civil blueprints, technical specs and site development plans.
• Proficiency with estimating software including PlanSwift, HCSS Heavy Bid, IsqFt, BuildingConnected, Procore, SmartBid and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare precise commercial estimates for storm, water, and sewer utility projects using bidding platforms.
• Analyze blueprints, specs and scope to build competitive bids.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and plan reviews with PlanSwift and HCSS Heavy Bid.
• Collaborate with general contractors, owners and internal teams to ensure clear bidding communications.
• Work with accounting and purchasing to prepare project budgets and quotes.
• Coordinate preconstruction planning and handoffs to project management.
• Process and track documentation for change orders and correspondence.
• Develop the estimating team.
