Job summary

iHeartMedia in Chicago is seeking a Traffic and Weather Producer to gather regional traffic data and publish updates across platforms. You will manage information, verify details, and meet deadlines to deliver timely traffic content for our audience.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of local geography and traffic patterns, proficiency with MS Office tools, and thrives in a fast-paced, newsroom-like team environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of local coverage area geography and roadways, mass transit and traffic patterns.
• Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, 'newsroom-like' collaborative environment.
• Ability to plan, organize, set priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be willing to work weekends, evenings, overnights, and holidays.
• College degree is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Gather regional traffic information and enter details into internal computer and web systems.
• Manage information; keeping all facts straight, making sure details are accurate and current, and tracking any changes.
• Maintain crucial deadlines in order to provide traffic updates in a timely fashion.
• May prepare written content and visual images for websites, blogs, or other social-media platforms.
