Virginia Commonwealth University, through VCUarts Department of Theatre and Dance, is recruiting a pool of adjunct applicants on an ongoing basis for possible teaching positions in theatre programs.

The adjunct pool will be consulted when opportunities arise, and only those selected for an interview will be contacted. Adjunct faculty are expected to be enthusiastic ambassadors and to work with a diverse student population in a collaborative learning-centered community.

Qualifications

• Requires teaching experience and/or strong oral presentation and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to foster an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with diverse faculty, staff, and students.
• Terminal degree (MFA) or BFA with equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in theatre and dance areas as assigned from pool when opportunities arise.
• Serve as an enthusiastic ambassador for the department and university.
• Collaborate within a learning-centered community with adjunct instructors, students, faculty, and staff.
