Grand Rapids Community College is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach Theater courses on our Grand Rapids campus during the winter term. The position is determined per semester, with classes offered in Hybrid, Online, and Virtual formats.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Theater or related field, with community college teaching experience preferred. Responsibilities include following syllabi, leveraging department texts, maintaining records, and timely grade reporting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Theater or related field is required for most courses.
• Bachelor’s degree in the specific area with relevant experience is acceptable for some courses.
• Teaching experience at a community college is preferred.
• Ability to meet course outcomes and maintain records as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Teach GRCC Theater course offerings on the Grand Rapids campus.
• Follow the required syllabus template and use department textbooks.
• Meet classes at scheduled times and maintain accurate student records.
• Report grades by contractual deadlines and accommodate diverse needs per ADA/FERPA.
