Qualifications

• Valid Colorado Teaching License or Substitute Authorization.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans and instructional activities provided by the classroom teacher.
• Carry out assigned classroom responsibilities, schedules, and routines.
• Adapt instruction as needed to support diverse learners.
• Promote and maintain positive student behavior expectations.
• Establish a structured, safe, and productive learning environment.
• Maximize instructional time and student engagement.
• Assess student work when appropriate.
• Prepare a summary of the day’s instruction and classroom activities for the regular teacher.
• Complete required Guest Teacher report forms.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
• Collaborate with school staff to support continuity of instruction.
• Maintain confidentiality of all student information.
• Follow all district and school policies and procedures.
• Utilize the Substitute Absence Management system (Red Rover) as required.
• Report to assigned locations and duties as scheduled.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
