Job summary

The candidate will implement established plans, monitor student progress, and communicate with staff as needed. Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred, with Texas teaching certification preferred. Immediate start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
• Texas Teacher Certification preferred.
• Ability to work with classroom technology programs.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required

Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans and instructional activities provided by the absent teacher or designated staff.
• Use appropriate instructional strategies and materials reflecting students’ needs as outlined in lesson plans.
• Work cooperatively with teachers to modify curriculum for students as needed.
• Be a positive role model for students and support the campus mission.
• Submit attendance reports and maintain attendance accuracy.
• Create a conducive classroom environment and manage student behavior per school policies.
• Supervise students at all times and ensure safety of students and materials.
• Leave notes or the approved substitute teacher report at day’s end.
• Report accidents or incidents promptly.
• Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
