Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred.
• Valid Texas Teacher Certification preferred.
• Ability to work with various classroom technology programs.

Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans and instructional activities provided by the absent teacher or designated staff.
• Use instructional strategies and materials that reflect students’ learning styles and needs.
• Work with teachers to modify curriculum as needed per lesson plans.
• Submit attendance reports and maintain an orderly classroom.
• Manage student behavior in line with the Student Code of Conduct and school procedures.
• Supervise students at all times and ensure safety of students and materials.
• Leave notes or the substitute teacher report form at the end of the day.
• Report accidents or incidents promptly.
• Communicate in a friendly, positive manner with students, parents, staff, and administrators.
• Participate in substitute training and comply with district policies.
