Job summary

Holyoke Public Schools in Holyoke, Massachusetts is seeking a part-time Guest Teacher (Substitute) to cover day-to-day assignments and keep students' learning on track.

You will implement lesson plans left by the absent teacher, maintain a safe, engaging classroom, and report incidents promptly. Strong communication and adaptability are essential. Bilingual Spanish applicants are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans and instructions left by the absent teacher.
• Utilize all academic class time to continue the students’ learning progress.
• Engage all students in lessons through interactive, effective teaching methods to maintain progress in the curriculum.
• Organize students and classroom for effective instruction.
• Complete a Substitute Teacher Report Form for the regular classroom teacher at the end of every assignment.
• Return all instructional materials, equipment, and keys to the proper location at the end of the day.
• Participate in Guest Teacher Onboarding/Training.
• Utilize the appropriate distance learning platform to facilitate instruction for students.
