Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a dedicated Sports Performance Coach to lead and coach classes, ensuring high-energy sessions and safe, effective workouts across athlete groups. The role requires a background in strength and speed training and strong communication with clients and team members.

Preferred candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology or related field and a BLS certification; willingness to travel between locations is expected.

Qualifications

• Required – High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred – Bachelor’s Degree In Kinesiology Or Related Field
• 3 months’ experience with strength & speed training in a high school, collegiate, or professional performance/fitness setting

Responsibilities

• Coaches various workout and/or training classes/sessions per client/group needs.
• Performs and manages group class warm-ups, workouts, cool-downs, and related activities.
• Maintain safe environment by scaling movements/weights to prevent injuries.
• Builds relationships with colleagues, coaches, and athletes.
• Tracks and reports client progress.
