Job summary

Mercy Health’s Sports Medicine - West seeks an Athletic Trainer to cover practices, games, and events, delivering injury evaluations, treatments, and rehabilitation. You’ll educate coaches and athletes, manage emergencies, and coordinate referrals for seamless patient care.

Bachelor’s degree is required with NATA BOC certification; Master’s preferred, and EPIC EMR experience is a plus. 40 hours/week, on-site in Cincinnati area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training is required.
• NATA BOC certification required; state license as applicable.
• 2 years of experience in a similar setting preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical coverage for practices, games, and events.
• Evaluate, treat and rehabilitate athletic injuries per physician protocols.
• Deliver emergency care, stabilize fractures, and manage emergencies.
• Educate coaches and athletes; coordinate referrals for continuity of care.
• Document patient care using EPIC EMR and other systems.
