Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a Sports Team Athletic Trainer to provide medical coverage for practices, games, and events at Mariemont and McNicholas high schools. Responsibilities include evaluating, treating, preventing and rehabilitating injuries, managing medical emergencies, and supporting CPR training.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Athletic Training, NATA BOC certification, and a state license where practicing. Two years of experience is preferred, with EPIC EMR experience being a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training required.
• NATA BOC Certification required.
• Current Athletic Trainer license in the practicing state is required if mandated.
• 2 years of experience in a similar setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform athletic injury evaluations, treatments and rehab per clinician protocols.
• Provide emergency medical services and stabilization of injuries.
• Coordinate referrals to ensure continuity of care with specialists.
• Communicate athletes' injury statuses to coaches, parents and team physicians.
