Qualifications

• Experience as a Sports Anchor/Reporter in a major market (Top 10 preferred).
• Strong understanding of how sports consumption is shifting to digital, streaming, and social formats.
• Commanding on-air presence suited for linear and streaming coverage.
• Deep knowledge of Chicago and national sports including pro, college, and high school levels.

Responsibilities

• Anchor and host energetic sports segments on linear broadcasts and digital platforms.
• Write, produce, and tailor sports content for TV, streaming, and social channels.
• Anchor and report live from marquee events and breaking sports news.
• Develop enterprise, character-driven stories beyond game recaps.
• Execute proactive social media strategies to engage Chicago sports fans in real time.
• Write sharp, conversational copy and segment scripts for high-impact broadcasts.
