Job summary

BRCC invites applications for a Speech Communication Instructor within the Liberal Arts division. The role focuses on delivering courses in public speaking, interpersonal communication, and oral communication, with emphasis on student confidence and competence.

Collaboration with the Liberal Arts chair and colleagues will drive course design and outcome assessment, incorporating Canvas. Responsibilities include maintaining office hours, grading, attendance, and contributing to department aims

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech, speech communication, or communication studies.
• Master’s degree in any discipline with 18 graduate semester hours in speech, speech communication, and/or communication studies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction in public speaking, interpersonal communication, and oral communication skills.
• Design engaging course content and assess student learning outcomes.
• Utilize Canvas and instructional technology in classroom delivery.
• Maintain a minimum of 10 office hours per week.
• Maintain accurate grade and attendance records.
• Participate in teaching evaluation and college service.
