Full-time faculty member provides leadership, management, planning & coordination of instruction of students in teaching college courses in Speech, participate in curriculum & instructional material development, assessment functions to include program learning outcomes & student learning outcomes, student advisement responsibilities, enrollment & registration, student recruitment & retention activities, participate in college outreach activities, college committees, community service, & other assigned duties. Participate in departmental, division, & college planning sessions in actively reaching & communicating the college's mission & goals, & professional development activities.
Faculty teaching associate degree courses designed for transfer to a baccalaureate degree: doctor’s or master’s degree in Public Speaking or Communications or master’s degree with a concentration in the Public Speaking/Communication (a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline).
Dual credentials to tech in a second Humanities discipline is preferred.
