Job summary

Chicago Public Schools (CPS) is seeking licensed teachers to deliver instruction, track student progress, and manage classrooms on the North/Northwest Side. You will collaborate with case managers and general education teachers to support students with diverse needs and ensure alignment with IEP guidelines.

Applicants must hold a valid Illinois teaching license endorsed in LBS1, have a bachelor's degree or higher, and complete the CPS online application and teaching profile.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
• Valid Illinois teaching license with the appropriate endorsement(s) for the role (LBS1).
• Completion of the CPS online application and teaching profile at cps.edu/teach.

Responsibilities

• Instruct, monitor progress, track and discipline students as assigned by the principal.
• Achieve instructional goals aligned with CPS standards and IEP guidelines.
• Collaborate with case managers, counselors and general education teachers for student needs.
• Maintain effective classroom environment with respectful culture and strong management.
• Communicate clearly with administration, families and students; uphold student safety.
