Job summary

Centra Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher (SPED) certified in the state of practice to work in a school setting. This is a contract, full-time position.

The role requires advocacy for students with disabilities, collaboration with teachers, parents, and administrators, and adherence to Special Education laws and school policies. You should be organized, communicative, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• Must have passed content exam.
• Must be fully licensed with SC teaching license.
• Must be special education endorsed.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for students with disabilities (SwD).
• Liaise between teachers, administration, parents, and students.
• Develop understanding of Special Education Law and school policies.
• Maintain impeccable communication and people skills.
• Be extremely organized and able to problem solve and multi-task.
• Maintain proficiency skills and meet deadlines.
• Impart knowledge to others to improve service for SwD.
