Job summary

Katy ISD MCDONALD JUNIOR HIGH in Katy, TX is seeking a SPED - Resource/ICS teacher to provide special education consultation and instruction for eligible students. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Valid Texas certificate in appropriate area.
• Ability to work effectively between the school and community.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ARD/IEP meetings and documentation for students eligible for special education.
• Complete local, state and federal paperwork required for program participation.
• Develop instructional programs to help eligible students master essential knowledge and skills.
• Collaborate with regular education teachers to develop PLAAFP and IEP goals.
• Administer state assessments and maintain student progress data.
• Provide behavior management strategies and support for eligible students.
• Oversee paraprofessional responsibilities and data collection.
• Attend district trainings and staff development.
• Possibly provide personal care as identified in IEPs.
