Job summary

Fort Madison Community School District is seeking a Special Education Teacher for Strat II-ID or All Strat I & II endorsements. Immediate start for FM Jr/Sr High, focusing on inclusive education and MTSS-PBIS integration.

You will design differentiated instruction, use district resources, and collaborate with staff to support student growth, with a commitment to equity and high expectations.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Iowa teaching license.
• Endorsements required: Strat II-ID or All Strat I & II.
• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field; master's preferred.
• Experience teaching appropriate grade level preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and assess engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards.
• Deliver instruction using high-quality curricular resources and district framework.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support MTSS and PBIS frameworks.
• Monitor student progress through formal and informal assessments and provide feedback to families.
