Job summary

Pleasantville Public Schools invites applications for a SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER. The position requires NJ instructional certification with SPED endorsements and experience delivering individualized instruction aligned to IEPs.

Responsibilities include planning, differentiating instruction, maintaining records, and collaborating with staff and families to support student growth and achievement in a diverse learning environment.

Qualifications

• Hold a New Jersey instructional certificate and other appropriate subject area and Special Education endorsement(s).
• Demonstrate knowledge of content and ability to organize lessons.
• Demonstrate understanding of child growth, instructional strategies, assessment and research.

Responsibilities

• Establish high standards for academics and behavior.
• Provide instruction per each pupil's IEP.
• Collaborate with regular education staff to coordinate instruction.
