Job summary

Easterseals Arkansas is seeking qualified educators to instruct individuals served in activities promoting social, physical, intellectual, and literacy growth. You’ll evaluate progress across motor, cognitive, language, and self-help domains and generate reports.

The role involves planning weekly curricula, implementing evidence-based strategies, supervising TAs/DSPs, and maintaining accurate documentation including IPP/IEP data for LRSD and related programs.

Qualifications

• Requires Arkansas teaching certification with a Bachelor's degree; master’s preferred.
• 3+ years as a classroom teacher is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and supervisory capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan curriculum and weekly lesson plans to meet individual student needs.
• Follow standard frameworks for curriculum setup and implementation.
• Instruct students using special education strategies to promote development.
• Create motivating learning materials and bulletin boards.
• Assess and document student progress weekly and monthly.
• Coordinate field trips and supervise staff in classroom duties.
• Provide personal care support and maintain safe classroom environments.
• Comply with HIPAA and organizational policies.
