Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Linguistics, Education, or related required.
• Proven written and verbal proficiency in Spanish.
• 2-3 years of teaching experience.
• No teaching license or credential is required.
• Strong interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach Spanish courses at various proficiency levels for lower, middle, or upper school students.
• Teach Spanish language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing through a variety of instructional methods.
• Create opportunities for students to practice conversational Spanish and improve pronunciation and comprehension.
• Teaching students about Spanish culture, including festivals, traditional food, and social conventions.
• Organize events where students can showcase their Spanish language skills.
• Communicate with parents regarding student progress and behavior.
• Participate in regular professional development activities to stay current with best practices and innovation in language education.
• Assist with extracurricular activities and school community activities.
