Qualifications

• Minnesota 5-12 or 7-12 Social Studies license required.
• Long-term substitute teaching role for Social Studies at secondary level.
• Ability to plan instruction aligned with district curriculum.
• Proficiency using Schoology and effective parent communication.

Responsibilities

• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to students.
• Translates plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior for effective learning.
• Evaluates pupils' academic and social growth and keeps timely records.
• Identifies pupil needs and develops strategies for IEP involvement.
• Communicates with parents via Schoology, newsletters, calls and emails.
• Collaborates with colleagues and supervisors in a team setting.
• Pursues ongoing professional development and collaborative learning.
• Participates in a professional learning community regularly.
• Integrates technology into instruction.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
