Job summary

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs in Baker, CA is seeking a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our award-winning special education team. You will partner closely with the SLP to deliver high-quality speech therapy services across multiple Spectrum School locations.

Responsibilities include evaluating student needs, implementing therapy plans, tracking progress, and collaborating with educational teams to foster communication and developmental growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in speech pathology or related field required.
• Active CA SLPA credential or in process of obtaining one.
• Valid CA driver's license required.
• Experience in speech therapy in special education settings preferred.
• Knowledge of IEPs, data-based decision making, and classroom collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students to identify speech therapy needs and intervention levels.
• Assist the SLP with assessments, materials, and documentation.
• Conduct screenings per SLP protocols.
• Provide direct therapy under supervision, implementing evidence-based interventions.
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation within 24 hours of service.
