Job summary

Intel Corporation's Reliability Lab in Chandler, AZ, is seeking a hands-on Reliability Lab Shock and Vibration Testing Engineer to join the environmental stress tool engineering team. The role focuses on developing, executing, and analyzing mechanical reliability tests for semiconductor devices, boards, and assemblies.

You will build test fixtures, implement data acquisition systems, and drive continuous improvements in test methods and lab automation while ensuring safety and quality standards

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in engineering with shock and vibration testing experience.
• Hands-on testing with electrodynamic shakers and shock equipment.
• Familiar with JEDEC and IPC mechanical stress standards.
• Proficient in data acquisition, accelerometers, strain gauges, and software.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and execute dynamic stress tests compliant with JEDEC/IPC standards.
• Create test fixtures and instrumentation strategies to support reliability evaluations.
• Test devices with operations team and analyze results for failure modes.
• Correlate test data to mechanical models to validate simulations.
• Generate detailed test plans, procedures, and qualification reports.
• Drive lab capability improvements, automation, and safety compliance.
